SPACE EXPLORATION
This game offers flexible controls, allowing players to use the arrow keys or W, A, S, D keys to pilot the ship. To rotate the ship's nose left, press the left key or the A key. Conversely, to rotate right, press the right key or the D key. Notably, the ship in Retro Blaster operates on an inertia physics mechanism. It will not stop instantly when you release the keys. Therefore, adjusting the rotation requires subtlety and smoothness. To thrust the ship forward, press the up key or the W key. This is the main engine to help you escape from enemy encirclement. However, if you go too fast and are about to hit an asteroid, quickly press the down key or the S key to brake or reverse.
Attack and defense
The shift key acts as an emergency brake to reduce drift. For offense, the spaceship is equipped with an automatic laser gun. It can be activated by the space key/left mouse click. The bullets fly in the direction the nose is pointing. In critical situations when enemies are overwhelming, players can use the secret weapon. The bomb can be used by pressing the B key. A massive explosion will wipe out everything nearby, creating a safe escape route for the spaceship.
